Platform Developer

Worked with a small team to build auto-scaling web infrastructure with AWS, Ansible, SaltStack, Docker, Jenkins, Postgres, Python, Packer, Terraform, Consul, Hashicorp Vault, Sensu, Sentry, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Nginx. Built Jenkins testing infrastructure that scales over 300 nodes. Runs 24 hours of testing in 20 mins. Managed AWS costs to stay within $10k/month budget. Setup log monitoring with ElasticSearch, metrics monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana, exception monitoring with sentry, and check monitoring with Sensu. Built configuration management for all our services in Ansible/SaltStack. Assisted with ISO-27001 security audits. Researched and Deployed new dev tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, AWS/IAM/LDAP integration. Responded to on-call events as needed.

Rue La La - Boston, MA  (April 2014 - February 2015)

Platform Developer

Optimized, refactored, and built new full-stack features for large Django App which involved Python, Nginx, Lua, MySQL, and legacy Java. Built a new continuous deployment system with Jenkins, Ansible. Created and fostered adoption for new dev environments utilizing Vagrant, Ansible, CentOS/RHEL 7. Bullhorn - Boston, MA  (May 2012 - March 2014)

Senior Software Developer

Overhauled main CMS product. Principle engineer in a team to design and implement new features and adhere to HTML5 standards. Previously product was IE-only, Quirks-mode, and written over 10 years ago. Used Java, Python, and JavaScript. Instrumental in other company-wide process improvements such as: moving from SVN to Git; code review practices; provisioned development environments; and more reliable release rollout.

IBM - Datapower Group - Boston, MA  (July 2011 - May 2012)

Software Developer

Implemented new features for remarkably fast XSLT compiler used as part of a high-performance firewall appliance. This involved working with C-style C++ and x86 Assembly. Updated codebase for internationalization, and ported to 64-bit.
